I'm having a ball using all my new catalog products. In fact, I spent 4 days just creating. I used new stamp sets, new designer papers, new In Colors and, of course, new accessories.
I love accessories. They're like wearing the perfect pair of earrings with a new outfit!
This card was a 'mistake in the making'. I had intended to do something totally different for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #176. But you, know how it goes.
I wanted to try out the new Petal Burst Embossing Folder. Before I knew it I was sponging specialty designer paper, die cutting flowers and this is what I ended up with. I'll be honest, I struggled with the 'blank side' of my card so I settled on a half oval piece of cardstock to hold the greeting.
There are loads of new framelits in the catalog but among them are the gorgeous May Flowers Framelits. There are numerous different flower sizes and shapes and plenty of different foliage. Leaves and stems are great for masculine cards. Simply add a verse and you're all set. If you enjoy flowers, don't convince yourself you don't need one more. The foliage in those sets go a long way!

Can you see the shimmer on the die cut flower? I added Clear Wink of Stella – it's too bad pictures don't capture the "real life" sparkle!
I used the Irresistibly Floral Specialty Designer Paper to make a banner. I sponged Blushing Bride ink on the paper which resists the white on white floral, embossed design. This package of designer paper is WOW! There are different patterns ranging from flowers to stripes and even small open circles. The white background allows you to change the color of this paper to suit your needs.
