Boo's back – a little late, but she's back!

Her video showcases the May Paper Pumpkin kit.  She has three fresh ideas to share with you, two 3D projects and a card using a direct to paper technique.

We get asked these two questions all the time.

Are you in the room with Boo while she films the video?  The answer is no.

Are you actively involved in the project she creates?  The answer is also no.  There have been time when she asks my opinion of a finished project but honestly, she doesn't care whether I like it or not. ((smile))

Here's a little "behind the scenes" story about today's video.

Boo always creates a prototype of her projects before she begins filming.  The prototype allows her to work out any kinks in the project passing on tips to you while she films. Unbeknownst to me, between creating the prototype and the filming, she decided to re-ink the pads.

It's my job to edit the video.  As I was watching her teach the direct to paper technique I cringed!  She laid down the first color and it was very wet. I immediately ran to my stamp room to check the ink pads she used.

Sure enough!  She had transferred ink from the Bermuda Bay pad onto my Soft Sky pad.  The good news is that I cleaned  the pad and it works good as new.

Here's a few tips for the direct to paper technique shown:

1) If your ink pad is too juicy, let it dry before moving onto the next color.  You can use your Heat Tool to speed up the drying process, if you'd like.

2) If you've transferred ink from the cardstock onto your ink pad, turn the pad upside down on scratch paper and pounce it repeatedly until it stamps "clean" (to its original color).  Once the 'foreign' color has been removed, re-ink the pad.
