I've always been a huge fan of watercolor and because of that the Aqua Painter is a beloved tool in my stamp room.
Watercoloring is so forgiving. In fact, coloring outside the lines is totally acceptable AND encouraged.
You might remember Leroy Neiman. He was famous for watercolor paintings that depicted the Olympics in the 1960's. Although he was an incredible artist, you'll notice that his watercoloring never stayed inside the lines of his drawings.
I figure if it's good enough for a professional, it's good enough for me!
Today's free project tutorial uses the "In This World" stamp set. I LOVE the vintage images in this set that include a key, a chair, map section and a butterfly. The sentiments in this stamp set have a beautiful roman text that compliment the graphics perfectly.
This photograph doesn't do this card justice! The colors and texture are stunning. I'm going to challenge you to give this watercoloring technique a try. You can't possibly make a mistake and no two you create will be a like.
Go ahead, color outside the lines. It's pretty freeing! ((smile))
I've BIG stuff in the works beginning in September and you won't want to miss it!
