I love to fussy cut.
I know, you think I'm crazy, right?
What I don't love is fussy cutting dozens of images when I'm mass producing cards for a swap, invitations for a wedding (like the ones I'm working on now for my nephew) or even my Christmas cards.
This is where my love of framelits and thinlits comes in! No fussy cutting required.
But, as much as I love them there's one thing that has made me crazy - and I'm betting it makes you crazy too!
- Have you wrestled with getting the dies neatly back into their plastic storage envelope?
- Have you wondered if you've missed one when putting them away?
- Have you found they just don't "fit" right when you try to adhere them to the paper sleeve they come with?

Great tip! Thanks……..now to go find my silver Sharpie…
Once again a great tip. I use the magnetic sheets and now will draw around the dies to enable to return them to their position. Thanks.
I use magnetic sheets also. It keeps your dies flat and not warped from pulling them off the tape.
Thank you, great idea, I love that you are using the envelope the framelits come in, seen lot of ideas using clear stamp cases but that takes up too much room on my shelf, now I just need to go get me some magnetic sheets ?
Super idea, Lisa. I use the magnetic sheets and now I have something to add to my to-do list for today. I can trace my dies and know where they go. This will make life so much easier. Thanks again for a wonderful tip.
Great tip – thank you!
Great Timing…just picked up another pancake of magnetic sheets. Brilliant idea about the tracing. TFS?
Package not pancake …..hate auto correct!
Wow, everyone – so glad you like the tip video and found this helpful. I know it’s saved me many times. The tiny framelits in some of the newer Bundles are certainly easy to misplace. Now I know when something is missing AND it’s easy for me to put them back in the envelope so they fit. Enjoy and thanks for commenting!
Great Tip! TFS! Now I need to find a Silver Sharpie!
Judy, an metallic Sharpie will work; bronze, silver or gold. I got mine at Wal-Mart but I’ve seen them at the drug stores, too.
Love this idea, thank you! Where is the best place to purchase magnetic sheets?
Hi Denise! You can purchase them at any home improvement store. I got mine at Lowe’s but I know Home Depot has them, too. I have a video on how to use them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS_M-uyQIhE Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by!
What a GREAT idea Lisa! I learn so much from your tips that you share with us! Thank you for sharing!!! You’re the best!
Hi Deanette! I’m so happy to hear that you find my tip videos helpful. Thank you for taking the time to stop and comment to tell me so!
