One of my favorite past times as kid was coloring. My younger sister wasn't nearly as big a fan. She'd purposely bump the table so I'd color outside the lines or hide certain colors of crayons. You know how siblings are!
One day she unwrapped every purple crayon we owned and colored the top of our playroom table. And I mean the ENTIRE top, corner to corner!
My sister thought it was funny – until my mom saw it.
My sister spent several hours scrubbing to remove the crayon but a tinge of purple was left behind. That was nearly 47 years ago and I still remember that day.
I guess I take coloring seriously!
In May I wanted to use the Helping Me Grow stamp set for my Studio Stamps in the Mail. I knew that many people would frown upon the gorgeous images simply because of the time it takes to color.
I was determined to show them how to use this set without tedious coloring.
I had an idea!
What if I mixed glitters? I tried it. I loved it. And, so did my customers!
The glitter mix is not gold, it's not silver, it's not iridescent – it's a custom blend! In today's quick crafting tip video I'll share with you how to make your own.
