I woke up this morning realizing we're half way through September!
I know I've said this before but where has the year gone?
Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner – literally weeks away. And, although I've already begun my Christmas shopping (true!) I know that most people aren't embracing the holidays just yet.
Today's project isn't Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas. I've decided to mix things up a bit and share a beautiful packaging idea with you.
In today's video I use the White Gift Boxes, new in the Holiday Catalog. This is not your typical gift box. This one has an acetate sleeve that fits snuggly over the outside perimeter of the box. White is nice but it screamed 'decorate me'! I've used the Blooms & Bliss Designer Paper and the coordinating Blooms & Wishes stamp set. I also used the Layering Love stamp set, which happens to have the perfect greeting for the acetate sleeve.
You can find a complete list of supplies below along with pictures and a cutting dimensions below.

So neat how you transformed a simple white box into something so pretty. I am very impressed and thank you for the nice tutorial. My personal preference is the squared edge.
Hi Loretta! These white gift boxes are so wonderful! Decorating them is the easy part. Glad you enjoyed the video.
The boxes are beautiful! Thank you for the video. Love that! I prefer rounded edges, myself, but they are both fantastic.
The boxes are beautiful. I love the DSP. I prefer the rounded corners but both are nice. The box would be stronger if you fold down the ugly flap first, then the sides, and finally tuck in the center notched tab.
Hi KJ! Thanks for your “vote” on the corners. I’m glad you enjoyed the project. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
Hi Mary! You know, I tired putting the ugly flap first and the box didn’t seem to sit right. Maybe I’m flap challenged. Thanks for the tip. I’ll go give it a try. This DSP is so pretty, isn’t it? Thanks for your preference note on the corners. I appreciate the comment.
