Most people resonate September as the beginning of the fall season. We are still experiencing warm summer temperatures here in Florida. Yesterday it was in the 90's!
Many of you are also enjoying a slow change in your wardrobe. You may have begun to dig out those "winter clothes" – long sleeve tops, jackets and sweaters.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and I remember September being one of my favorite months of the year because the temperature was perfect – not too hot, not too cold. While I miss wearing my "winter clothes" in September I've happily adjusted to sunshine and palm trees.
I may not be able to wear long sleeves – yet – but I certainly can create handmade cards to resemble my favorite fall patterns (plaids!) and colors (earth tones!).
Today's project video uses the Leaflets Framelits and the new designer paper from the Holiday Catalog called Warmth & Cheer. You can see an image of the papers in the supply list I've posted below, along with pictures and cutting dimensions for today's project.
BUT, the STAR of the video is that brand new copper foil! Oooohhhh, ahhhhhhh! You'll get a good look at this gorgeous new addition to the Stampin' Up! paper family and I KNOW you're going to want you own!
Be sure to place your order in my online store HERE and if your product order reaches $35 or more you will receive this month's bundle of project tutorials PLUS my next "Live with Lisa" event on September 17th – all for free! It's my way of saying 'thank you' for your order! Read about "Live with Lisa" events HERE.

This is a beautiful card, Lisa. I love the copper foil with the plaid and the EF really makes the card pop. Thanks for the clear and concise video on making this card. I’ll have to try it. Have a great day.
Hi HJ! So happy you like the project! Have a great holiday!
Stunning card. Just love that EF & the Copper foil?…be still my heart.
Hi Susan! I know exactly what you mean by the copper foil – ohhhh, it’s stunning. You can’t truly appreciate it in a photograph or the video. If you haven’t already ordered some – do it! You won’t be sorry. If you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and would like the current catalogs please let me know. Happy stamping!
I loved this card when I saw the pic on Instagram. I just watched the video and I am drooling! I love plaid, I love dark greens and blues in plaid. I love sweaters. I love new things to do with “bow effects”. The more I see copper, the more I like it. This card knocks it out of the park for me! And, fantastic video showing how to make it! You have made my day:)
Hi Trish! You’ve made my day with your comment. I’m so glad you like the card. In all honesty, I’m not a huge fan of green unless it’s this time of year but that flannel — ohhhhh, it store my heart and the two together worked so well. 😀
