It's been predicted that 142,000,000 people will buy candy for Halloween this year.
For 15 years Bob the Builder and I set up a lawn chairs in our front yard and hand out candy to the neighborhood children. We always enjoy seeing their costumes and it gives us a chance to get to know the parents that accompany them.
Last year I organized our first neighborhood Halloween block party. It was such a huge success that we will be doing it again this year! It's not anything fancy. A few family's drag their BBQ grills to the front yard, others bring covered dishes and meats. Everyone brings their own candy to hand out.
The best part is that we spend a few hours getting to know our neighbors a little better and we provide a fun, safe stop for the kids.
Today's free project sheet tutorial features the Jar of Haunts stamp set from the newly debuted Holiday Catalog. This stamp set has lots of other fun images that include candy corn and a pumpkin.
