Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus. And while I love all kinds of Christmas cards, THIS type of card exemplifies the true meaning of the holiday.
You might think it's too early to start making your Christmas cards, but it's not! There are only 109 days left.
Whether you want to create 25 or 125, now is the time to choose your card design, purchase your supplies and ENJOY the process of making them. Starting now insures you won't rush through what's supposed to be enjoyable. I have already made more than 40 Christmas cards!
When I designed this card I wanted something that would leave a statement yet simple enough to make many.
I used the Fancy Frost Designer Paper cut 3 3/4" x 5". I used a sponge and lightly rubbed Crumb Cake ink on the raised areas of the paper to give it an aged look. I then layered it on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock cut 4" x 5 1/4". Those layers were attached to the Cherry Cobbler card base.
The Whisper White cardstock for the image was cut 2 1/4" x 4". The greeting is one large stamp providing you with a greeting and image all in one! Now that's EASY!
I added the manger scene to the inside of the letter "O" using Crumb Cake ink. There's my "statement". The Metallic Enamel Shapes make the perfect accents.
I sponged the edges of the white cardstock to tie it in with the sponged designer paper.
These small banners added just the right touch. I topped them with a multi-looped burlap bow that I attached with a Glue Dot.
