Jet Black StazOn ink is a solvent based ink pad perfect for all kinds of surfaces. It's what I call the ultimate permanent ink. You can use it on cardstock as well as any other non-porous surface such as wood, metal, plastic, glossy cardstock, vellum, cork, aluminum, cellophane, Window Sheets (acetate), glass, leather and ceramic. Since this is a solvent based ink, it will take a few minutes longer to dry.
I use my StazOn ink pad often, especially this time of year when I'm making party favors and gifts. One of the drawbacks of this permanent ink is that it stains my hands when I remove the plastic protective liner which is stored over the pad.
Today's quick video will provides a great tip for easy removal and this simple, yet effective tip, won't leave your ink pad dried out between uses.

Thanks for a great tip, Lisa. I have used pop dots, but had to use a rubberband to hold it closed. This is a much better idea. I’m always learning new tips and love it. Have a great day and stay safe. I believe you on on the Gulf side of Florida, so I’m hoping you are out of Matthew’s path. I’m keeping Floridians in my prayers.
Hi HJ! I’m so glad this tip has helped. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment, too. I do live on the gulf side and we are west of Hurricane Matthew. Our projected winds are 40-50 MPH, nothing to take lightly. For some reason our subdivision seems to lose power easily so we are prepared with essentials. Thanks for keeping Florida in your prayers. I’m most concerned about my sister who lives 10 miles from the water in West Palm Beach and has not left the area. They have hurricane shutters and all the essentials but still – :/
Awesome tip. TFS will do this tomorrow.
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
