During my high school years (and I'm going WAY back!), my favorite month of the year was October – fall! Our school's Homecoming were always held in October, as well as the annual "spirit rock" decorating.
Upcoming graduating seniors were allowed to spray paint and decorate a huge boulder which sat as a cornerstone of the school property. Each year seniors worked tirelessly to out do the graduating class before them. During my senior year, we spray painted the rock brown with highlights of white to make it look like a haystack. Students contributed used clothing to construct a massive scarecrow. The stake for the scarecrow was anchored adjacent to the rock. It was quite impressive!
But not as impressive as the sweet face on this scarecrow from the Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set.
The Pretty Paisleys Embossing Folder creates a simple background. The Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread and staple add to the rustic feel.
