The Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper includes 12 sheets of double sided designs. Among the patterns is an adorable gingerbread house. The obvious card design would include a gingerbread man. But, if you've followed my blog, you know I like to work outside of "predictable".
I studied the paper. I noticed the snow lined roofs, candy can accents and the chimney.
The chimney?!?!
Yes! I can do something with the chimney! Santa goes down the chimney and there's a coordinating stamp set (Cookie Cutter Christmas) and punch (Cookie Cutter Builder). My mind was swarming with ideas.
Off to create – and this is what I came up with! I'd love to know what you think.
Predictable? Nope.
Duplicatable? Absolutely!
Check out today's video project. I've included pictures and cutting dimensions below.
Cutting Dimensions
- Real Red cardstock base is cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score or fold in half. Cut 2" off the front card base.
- Candy Cane Lane Designer Paper is cut 2" x 5 1/4"
- Whisper White cardstock (inside) is cut 2" x 5 1/4"
- Crumb Cake cardstock chimney pieces are cut 3/4" x 2" (chimney rim) & 1 3/4" x 2" (chimney base)
Here's a great collage for pinning to your Pinterest board.
The new Stitched Shapes Framelits are a huge hit! Create beautiful textured stitch lines without a needle, tool or template. Framelits allow you to get that handmade stitched look in seconds.

So very cute!! Thanks for sharing. Perfect for a kids card.
Hi Linda! I think the kids would love this card and it’s easy to create. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave me a comment. I appreciate the feedback! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, too.
Lisa, this is so cute! I watched the video a couple days ago. Not sure if you mentioned it on the video, but what set is that HoHoHo stamp from? Love your videos by the way!
Hi Tricia! Yes, I believe I did mention the stamp set name. It’s “Greetings From Santa”. You will find a complete list of supplies here on this blog post, at the bottom. There are pictures scrolling with descriptions, too. If you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Tricia, I’d love to send you the catalog. Just let me know. Thanks, too, for your kind words about my videos. SO glad you like them! 😀
