We have a 'black Friday' tradition of decorating our home for Christmas.  This year, however, we will be in Las Vegas with my Mom and step Dad so we spent this past weekend getting all six trees and hundreds of lights hung.  

This is an exciting Thanksgiving for for family.  It's the first time in many years that we will all be together – Bob the Builder, Boo, my sister, her daughter and family and my cousins.  All but one cousin will be staying at a nearby Las Vegas hotel.  I'm liking this trip to a "partial" vacation since we will be at my Mom's the majority of the time.  

My sister is a huge sports fan so she's in charge of the activities – better known as family olympics.  Each family is considered a team and we compete against one another for the "family cup" (a very tacky trophy).  We play croquet, Yahtzee, Uno, Bocce and horseshoes.  We compete in one game a day during our visit and the winning family gets the cup.  It's crazy fun!

One of the best parts of visiting Las Vegas this time of year is the decorations.  Every hotel goes over the top with lights and trees and most of the hotels change out their theme each year.  Visiting my favorite hotels is always a thrill.  I'm always surprised to see the myriad of color schemes.  

Christmas in Las Vegas is definitely more than red and green.  

Today's card works in a different color scheme.  I was inspired by a card I saw created by Amy on Pinterest and put my own spin on it.
