The simplest of gifts can look extravagant with great packaging. Today's project is a perfect example of that.
I cut a junior size legal pad in half and covered it with the Floral Boutique Designer Paper, added a sentiment and a few embellishments.
I also added chocolate – what gift is complete without it?! The 2" x 8" Cellophane Bags are the perfect size for Hershey's Nuggets. I wrapped them in strips of the coordinating designer paper and added a tag using the stamp set Me=Grateful.
I also added a Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer. Their pumpkin spice scent is perfect this time of year! To keep the gifts coordinated, I wrapped the bottle as well.
Here's where the packaging brings this simple gift to extravagant.
I used a 8" x 10" white, handled gift bag that I purchased from the dollar store. I adhered coordinating designer paper to the front with a strip of Gold Foil to highlight the accents of my gifts. I even stamped the corners of the tissue paper using the Floral Phrases stamp set.
I created a multi-loop bow, covered a small clothespin in the Floral Boutique Washi Tape and added few inches of the Gold Sequin Trim and clipped them to the top of the gift bag.
The right sentiment can provide a personal touch to your gift. I used the Friendly Wishes stamp set, added a few enamel shapes and played up the gold accents using the Sweetheart Punch and added a little Gold Metallic Thread.
Brandy loved her gift and I loved making it for her.
Here's to taking something simple and making it extravagant!

You did a wonderful job of taking simple items and making them amazing! Anyone would love to receive this gift. Thanks for inspiring me to “glam up” little gifts for all.
Hi Lisa, absolutely love your design of decorating a bag for gift giving. This will be perfect for some small gifts I am giving to the staff at my doctor’s office. ?
What a wonderful gift set you made, Lisa. I love that DSP. Thanks for the ideas.Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Love the gift set! How did you cut the legal pad in half?
Hi Pam! I used my Carl Cutter to cut the jr. size legal pads in half. If you don’t have access to an industrial cutter you can take the pads to most office supply stores and they will cut them for you very inexpensively. Hope that helps.
Hi HJ! I’m so glad you enjoyed this project. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
Hi Kathy! I’m thrilled that these ideas have inspired you. Enjoy!
Hi Mary! Happy to read that you liked these gift ideas. Truly, simple things can look fancy with a little designer paper and stampings. Thank you for taking the time to stop and comment.
