It's been a whirlwind few weeks here! In the last two weeks alone I've not only kept up with all the typical things I do but I coordinated our church's annual Trunk or Treat event, hosted a stamping retreat, traveled to Atlanta for Stampin' Up!'s On Stage event and am getting ready to leave again for the Thanksgiving week.
It's been a wonderful busy and I'm certainly not complaining but I've found myself oversleeping each morning. I actually laid in bed this morning, trying to convince myself to get up, and thought "it's November"! This year has flown by! Keeping busy certainly makes the time go by faster.
And, busy is a great word to describe this time of year, isn't it? I'm trying to organize a date and time when Bob the Builder, Boo and I can all be together to photograph our family Christmas picture. It's an annual tradition and I refuse to let our busy schedules interfere with getting it done.
Also on my list of 'to do's' is to finish my Christmas shopping, holiday baking, wrapping, decorating, volunteering at church and of course, spending time with friends and family. I'll be honest, there are days I think "will I get it all done?". Some how, some way, it does!
That's one reason why planning ahead keeps me organized and allows me to enjoy this busy time of year. I've written numerous times about how you should begin your holiday cards early so you can enjoy the process of creating them. For me, creating is relaxing and I love putting a piece of myself into each project knowing it will fall into the hands of someone I truly care about.
Today's project is a little bit of a 3D and a little bit of a card. The gift tag on this card slides out making an adorable holiday bookmarker. You can also add a magnet to the back which would be great for holding up holiday cards on a refrigerator or file cabinet. Perfect for teachers, too!
I have provided cutting dimensions for today's card along with pictures below.
I know you're busy but spend some time over the next few weeks creating. I'm confident that those who receive your holiday crafts will be grateful.
This collage is perfect for pinning to your Pinterest board!
