I love buying gifts!
Shopping is like a treasure hunt. Having a love of shopping has given me a certain "skill". I know where to go to find the best selection at the best prices. I've been trying to convince Bob the Builder for 26 years that this is a real talent. ((smile))
There are two people on my Christmas 'hunt' list that are challenging. But when I do find the right gift, wrapping it is my next favorite task. Yes, I LOVE to WRAP!
I love it so much that I volunteer each year to help with our local Gift of Hope event where I wrap gifts for needy children – all day long – and some years I go back multiple days.
Wrapping small items is always a challenge since we never seem to have the right size box. Gift bags are great but boxes can be wrapped and ripped open! What's more fun than that?
I created this one for a friend and used the White Gift Boxes in the Holiday Catalog. They are the perfect size for anything from jewelry to socks. The 3"x3" box includes a clear acetate sleeve that slips around the circumference.
I stamped the acetate sleeve with Jet Black Staz On ink using the Suite Seasons stamp set.
I cut a strip of Presents & Pines Designer Paper to wrap around the box and a square piece for the lid.
I created another box using these same dimensions. You can find the video and cutting dimensions HERE.
The tag was created using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Pine Bough embossing folder and a combination of threads from the Burlap Ribbon and the Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine from the trio pack. The berries are the Regals Enamel Shapes. I colored the pine bough using a sponge dauber and Emerald Envy ink. If you use a light touch, you can easily color the raised areas.
I'm still on the hunt to find those last two gifts. And, when I do, I can't wait to get them home to wrap them and spend a few days admiring them under my tree before they head to their destination.
There are only 25 days until Christmas. Have you started your hunt?

Great job on “wrapping” this box. The recipient will be thrilled with the gift and the wrapping.
Thank you, HJ! It sure was easy! I appreciate your faithfulness in following my blog. Merry Christmas!
