I love a "fancy fold" card. Not a card that requires 9 tools, 200 folds and lots of confusing directions. (Minor exaggeration). But I do like a card that has an interesting opening.
Today's card fits that description.
I cut away 1 1/2" from the top half of this card. I used the 2" circle punch to create a partial opening to reveal the manger scene.
The star is revealed when you open the card flap. I borrowed the 'sparkle lines' around the star from the Holiday Catalog stamp set "Star of Light".
I created this look by sponging Soft Sky ink over the majority of the white cardstock. I then sponged Pool Party, concentrating on the upper portion and outside edges. I ended with sponging Marina Mist ink along the very top.
I wanted the colors to stand out so I chose Basic Black ink for the images. The Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper stars were created using the Confetti Stars Punch.
I sentiment fit perfectly on the remainder of the card flap and the Pool Party 3/8" satin ribbon works perfectly with this simple color palette.

Beautiful card!
Beautiful card. Thank you. I have the supplies to make this, but I’m stumped when you say you cut 1-1/2 inches from the top half of the card. Does that mean with the punch to cut 1-1/2 inches for the circle? I tried that and it doesn’t look like yours. I’d appreciate any tips. Thanks.
Tian happy you visited this video!!

Hope this helps!!
