I recently taught a class and someone asked me, "Do you mean we have to "fussy cut" this image? There isn't a framelit for this?"
I smiled and politely said, "No, there isn't. You will need to cut it out by hand." Then a roar of laughter filled the room.
We've gotten lazy, haven't we?
The paper crafting world continues to provide us with easier ways to create. One of those ways is the ability to purchase coordinating stamps and die cuts/framelits/thinlits.
There will never be a die for every stamp.
The biggest complaint I hear about "fussy cutting" is the border around the image. It can be especially noticeable if mounted on dark cardstock.
So, how do you help reduce the appearance of that border?
You might think you should cut closer to the stamped image. I don't ever recommend cutting on the stamped line. It distorts and takes away from the image.
But, there is a way to help the cut lines blend in. Today's quick tip video provides a helpful trick.
