I've been meaning to share this card with you since the beginning of January when I first created it. I found it in my stash with the other "Hey, Chick" Sale-A-Bration creations.
I'll admit, I have loved using this set! It's so versatile. I've paired it with all kinds of greetings and image to make everything from baby to birthday cards.
I used the masking technique to create the appearance of the chicks standing on one another. If you aren't familiar with this technique I have a quick tip video you can view HERE.
Masking allows you to use a create the illusion of one image either being in front of or behind another. In this case, I used the masking technique to create the stack.

I water colored the images using ink pads and my Aqua Painter. I have a quick tip video to teach you how to watercolor. Click HERE to view it.

The chick on the top is actually an egg in the stamp set. I converted the image by using the Project Life Journaling Pen to create the lines around the outside to resemble hair. I cut a small piece of Calypso Coral cardstock for his beak and adhered it with Fine-Tip Glue.
The designer paper is from the Pop of Pink series and is one of my favorites!
I'm sure going to miss the Sale-A-Bration products when they retired on March 31st. Be sure to check out the 14 free selections when you place a $50 product order. These products are only available while supplies last or through the sale date of March 31st, whichever comes first.
