Simple wins!
I needed a few Easter cards to send to family this week. I wanted to use the Crumb Cake Note Cards & Envelopes. They're pre-cut, pre-scored and have matching envelopes. And the price – $6 for 20 cards and envelopes.
The one thing I've noticed about the Note Cards & Envelopes is that they were designed for simple. You can't over-embellishing them or they make for a tight fit in the envelope.
I layered So Saffron and Whisper White cardstock on the base, stamped the egg border from Basket Bunch and colored them in with Subtles Markers.
That bunny – squeal – so darned cute! I die cut him from the coordinating framelits, adhered him with a Dimensional and added a small "hop" trail using the Basic Black marker.
Let's not forget about that adorable tail. I cut one from the Pom Pom Trim and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
Our Easter weekend is packed full with family festivities. My great nephew, Luke, turned 2 yesterday and his birthday party is Saturday. Our family doesn't know how to do small. It's a trait we all inherited from my grandmother (Nana). Every occasion was a good reason for lots of food, table decorations and fun.
Easter Sunday will also be spent with family, but this time we'll be celebrating the resurrection of our Savior! You guessed it! More food, an Easter egg hunt for the little ones, and lots more fun!
And for those of you that know my food passion - CHOCOLATE bunnies are on my agenda! ((smile))
Love this adorable card Lisa! I believe you said in one of your videos that the Memento ink pad was the best one to use if coloring in with SU markers – is that correct??
I really like the idea that you put cards on your blog that are easy to assemble/not so intricate that we have to purchase a bunch of extra items to create beautiful and fun cards for family and friends. it is nice to be able to use the items you have purchased for multiple projects.
Happy Easter!!
Hi Janice! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I recommend Memento for photopolymer stamps. StazOn will ruin them over time. The Memento pad is water based and although I’ve never had a problem using my markers to color in the images you want to be careful if you use a Blender Pen or Aqua Painter as the Memento ink can run. Again, I’ve never had a problem so I say ‘experiment’. I love Memento ink because it’s fast drying and leaves very little residual staining on my photopolymer stamps. Hope that helps!
