I hosted a western themed stamping retreat a few weeks ago. If you missed the pictures you can find them HERE. I needed a simple, yet pretty western card and found one I wanted to CASE from Beverlee.
Watercolor Paper makes everyone look like an artist! I used Dapper Denim ink and an Aqua Painter to watercolor in the boots. Soft Suede ink was used to create the dirt, the buckles and lining on the boots.
The lasso is created for 20" of Linen Thread. I cut another 4" piece to tie it together at the top then adhered it with a Glue Dot.
And, the rhinestones! This cowgirl needs a few rhinestones!
I embossed the white layer using the Confetti Embossing Folder (retiring) – a must have if you ask me. It goes with everything!
A Delicate White Doily was used to create the ruffled edge, reminding me of a petticoat. I cut the doily in half and then cut out the center, leaving just the scalloped edge. I scrunched it, as I adhered it along the bottom of the image layer.
If you missed my quick tip video about watercoloring on Watercolor Paper you can find it HERE!
Really cute card, Lisa. Love the rhinestones and the lasso!
Thanks, HJ! I appreciate the comment and the fact you stopped by. Have a great week!
