I've featured the watercolor pencils a lot lately – and for good reason.
They're easy to use and create beautiful results.
I used the street image from the Mediterranean Moments stamp set and stamped it in Basic Black Archival ink on watercolor paper.
Watercolor Paper allows you to blend easily. The best part is that you can apply and reapply color wherever, and whenever, you'd like.
Unlike Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock, you don't have to worry about Watercolor Paper pilling from over-saturation.
I used the watercolor pencils and then went over the colored areas with the Aqua Painter to smooth out the lines. I wasn't at all particular about where the color ended up. I was after a worn, vintage look.
You can blend pencil colors together, too! I mixed Early Espresso and added some Pumpkin Pie to create the rust color. Mix the colors together using the Aqua Painter before applying them.
