All through my school years my mom would make my sister and I spend Saturday mornings pulling weeds, raking, planting and watering flowers.
I hated it.
I wanted to spend my Saturdays – my precious "day off" – watching cartoons or playing outside with friends. The last thing I wanted to do were chores.
Fast forward. Gardening has become a favorite "day off" activity for me. There's something about digging in the dirt, planting flowers and watching them grow and bloom that is satisfying.
But, I still hate pulling weeds. ((smile))
It's ironic that what my mom made me do, I now enjoy.
I do owe her a load of thanks - and not just for making me do chores.
Be sure to look over the retiring products a few more times. Many are selling out quickly and I'd hate to see you miss out on things you've been eyeing. This stamp set is on the retired list, too!

Funny…. my mom made me do the same and I hated it with a passion…. now I don’t mins. I guess they knew what they were doing LOL.
Cute card today, Lisa. Love those colors and the little wheel barrow.
Thank you, HJ! Always great to hear from you!
Hi Pam! Our moms are smart cookies, aren’t they? 😀
