Gold Foil can turn the ordinary into extraordinary!
Today's free project tutorial includes the use of the new Lovely Words Thinlits. A simple die cut layered over an image can be just that extraordinary.
I've included written instructions below for those of you using a mobile device. I also have a free PDF tutorial available for those that would like to download and save this project for a later day.
Don't forget to check out my Project PDF Tutorial Library for more project tutorials that feature complete card collections and fancy folds. Click HERE to view the library.

Lisa, beautiful card. How did you cut out the outside heart. Doesn’t it just cut the inside word and the heart but not the thin outer edge.
Hi Shari! The die cuts out exactly as you see here. If you have a catalog, take a peek at page 214. These dies are called “Lovely Words” and you’ll see the die cut images pictured. This is the reason I love them so much! They are outlined, perfect for layering. I hope that helps!
Lisa thanks for your response but when I cut out with the dies I get the same cut out that you see on page 157 of the Annual catalog in the lower right corner of the photo showing examples. See the lovely cut out, it doesn’t cut out the way your card shows it, as in the middle of page 157 there is a thin border. Did you use another dies to cut around the heart? There is only a cutting edge on the outside of the dies., not on the inside of it.
Shari, There was a very important step left off this tutorial. I can’t thank you enough for bringing it to light. The Sweet & Sassy Framelits, page 214, of the annual catalog, were used to create the silhouette around the die cut words. I’ve now corrected the tutorial and this blog post. I’d love to send you a hand stamped card to thank you properly. Would you mind emailing me your address? [email protected]
