Another new annual catalog, another set of new In Colors. This year's selection did not disappoint!
I used the Fresh Florals Designer Paper (featuring the 2017-2019 In Colors) on my card but wanted to create a border that would coordinate.
I looked closely at the Label Me Pretty stamp set and noticed one of the images had floral edges. That got me wondering. Could I use just one end of the stamp to create the border I was looking for?
My experiment worked! By tipping just one end of this label image into the Fresh Fig ink pad, I was easily able to ink it and stamp the flower. By connecting the ends, I created the perfect floral border!
I used the same stamp for the label on this card. This time I chose to emboss it with silver. If you've never heat embossed before you're in for a real treat. You can find my quick tip video on this technique HERE.
Isn't that label perfect? That's because this stamp set has a coordinating punch. You can purchase them both as a bundle, saving you 10%.
The 1 1/4" circle punch fits perfectly around the thank you sentiment included in this stamp set. I added Silver Metallic Thread and a silver heart from the Metallic Enamel Dots to finish off the card.

Love your creativity with this beautiful card, Lisa. It is always a plus when I find different ways of using stamps I have. Thanks so much for sharing this clever idea of using one end of the label stamp to make your border design. I’m sure the silver foil paper adds a pop that is better seen in person. Enjoy your day!
Thanks for coming by HJ! I appreciate the kind words. Hope you’ve had a great day!
This is an awesome idea! Thanks for sharing it!
