To all my fellow American blog followers, Happy Independence Day!
I'm spending the day with Bob the Builder tackling our to-do list. The refrigerator in our garage died. It served us well, iIt lasted 18 years! We're headed to take advantage of the holiday sales and find a replacement. This evening will be spent BBQ's then watching fireworks from our front yard. It's the perfect location to see the big display just 7 miles from our home.
However you choose to celebrate today, I hope it's enjoyable and safe!

If you can't change it then CASE it!
Today's card is inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest made by Su M. I changed up the colors a bit and added rhinestones. You know I can't create a card without bling!
I began by stamping the branch from Colorful Seasons. I added the flowers using both Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo ink. The greeting and the branch are both stamped using Chocolate Chip.

Once the stamping was finished I used the Woodland Embossing Folder to create the texture.
I've taught this look several times and I have to remind my customers that they need to stamp first, then emboss. Our instincts as stampers seems to be that we emboss first, then stamp. The overlay of the texture on the flowers is so pretty. Pictures really don't do this justice!

Then came the bling1 Medium size rhinestones were placed in the center of each of the flowers to add a little sparkle.
After all, life is even more beautiful with sparkle!

I love this simple, but elegant card, Lisa. The flowers are so pretty in the two colors along the branch. Great tip on stamping first, then embossing. You’re right, it is our instinct to do the opposite, but your way has a great impact. Have a very Happy 4th!
I really like this – It will be a good card to make – Happy 4th of July !
