When I saw the Lovely Friends stamp set I thought "cute sentiments". When I purchased it and began to play with it, I realized that the large greetings required enough space on a card where they could be showcased. This equates to very little background since there wasn't much space leftover.
The Floral Statements stamp set is much the same. The sentiments on the two images are worked into the background. I got to thinking. How could I 'marry' these two sets and achieve a card that would be both easy and not overbearing.
I used just the corners of the image on the "Thanks" image in the Floral Statements stamped in Basic Black ink and concentrated on the corners of the white cardstock.
After letting the ink dry, I used my Aqua Painter and a few ink pads to give the roses a little color. I wasn't sure if my choice of Pool Party would work with these roses but I'm super happy with how it turned out.
I created a multi-loop bow using the Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon and adhered it with Glue Dots along the outside edge of my greeting.
The Lots of Labels Framelits were used for the sentiment. To frame it, I die cut another in the same size, cut it in half, horizontally and adhered it to the backside of the sentiment layer. Leaving just a bit of the Pool Party layer showing creates a pretty border.
This card makes me ridiculously happy with how it turned out!

Great idea to use those flowers from the sentiment stamp! Never would have thought of that and makes that stamp stretch even further for use. Thanks for your inspiration!
