Today's card is both two-toned, shadowed and a bit 3D! I'm excited to share with you another way to use the Happy Birthday Thinlits by creating two layers of color and shadowing.
I've paired this card with the Balloon Celebrations and Marquee Messages stamp sets. Mixing and matching your stamps is a great way to stretch your investment and creates unique greetings and backgrounds.
Today's card uses only two colors, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz. The color combinations are endless with this design but keep in mind that the two colors you choose, when sponged closely to one another, as they are in today's video, can produce a third shade. For example, red and yellow will make orange, yellow and blue make green, etc.
I've included pictures and cutting dimensions below the video in this post.
Don't forget, July is Bonus Days Coupon month. For every $50 you spend in product you will receive a $5 coupon to use towards an order in August. There is no limit to the number of coupons you can accumulate, too! Plus I give fabulous online ordering REWARDS, too!

Hi Kathy! Thanks for stopping by to watch. I’m so happy to read that you enjoyed the card.
I love, love, love this card and I think I can do it. Thanks for a great video with lots of tips.
Hi Doris! You can absolutely do this! It’s not difficult at all. Having the video to stamp along with makes it even easier. I’m so glad you like the card. Thanks for watching.
Love your card and video; TFS!
Hi Lisa. Just checking the dimension of the Pool Party cardstock. Above it says: Pool Party cardstock base is cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, but on the video you say that you score it at 5 1/2″, which would indicate that it’s 11″ long to start with. I doubt that the card is 8 1/2″ wide, lol. Thanks.
Hi Ellen! Great eye and thank you for catching this! I have corrected the blog post to reflect the correct cutting dimension of 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored at 5 1/2″ for the center fold. Thank you!
Hi Donna! Thank you! Thanks for coming by to watch.
