We’re a month away from the beginning of fall so I’m squeezing in all my favorite bright and cheerful cards before I plunge into the warm tones of fall.

Adorable line art of an apron clad girl holding a basket of flowers. Bright and cheerful for any occasion. Uses Stampin’ Up! Garden Girl stamp set, paper craft, rubber stamp, DIY, handmade, cards, Everyday Jar framelits dies, decorative ribbon border punch

I love to color so I fell in love with the Garden Girl stamp set but it might also have something to do with my passion for gardening.  In the stamp image, the basket is filled with carrots.  Since I’m more of a flower garden lover I decided to change it up. I used a combination of Watercolor Pencils, ink pads and my Aqua Painter to color in the image.  Did I mention I like to color?

Garden Girl with flower bouquet. Great for any occasion. Stampin’ Up!, paper craft, rubber stamp, DIY, handmade, cards

I stamped several of the small flowers from the Jar of Love stamp set and used the coordinating Everyday Jar Framelits to die cut them. With a few Glue Dots and strategic layering I was able to cover up the carrots to create a beautiful flower basket. This simple change has made this image perfect for any occasion.Adorable rubber garden boots to keep the toes clean while picking flowers. The Decorative Ribbon Border Punch created the mini scallop edge. When punched, both sides of the cardstock provide a different decorative edge.

Did you notice the butterfly in the upper right corner of the card base?  I used Melon Mambo ink on Melon Mambo cardstock for a subtle tone which fills that corner nicely.

It’s been a wonderful summer for us.  We’ve enjoyed a few weekend getaways and painted a few rooms in the house. Florida summers are hot and I’m ready to transition into fall. For us Floridians that will most likely be in mid October but it’s starting to feel like fall in my stamp studio.

The Holiday Catalog begins on September 1st and it’s 55 pages are loaded with new products. I’ve been busy stamping with these new products and will begin showcasing them very soon.  If you’re not already one of my blog subscribers, be sure to sign up. It’s free and you won’t want to miss all the inspiration I’ll be sharing.
