I've eyed the Watts of Occasions stamp set for weeks. I liked it because it was different. No flowers or butterflies. No fancy patterns, just simple line art. I broke down and purchased it and I'm so glad I did! I've had loads of fun creating with it.
You can find this stamp set on page 63 of the annual catalog. The images are suitable for just about any occasion and there are witty greetings to go along with them.
Did you notice the glaze over the top of my lightbulb? I used the Fine-Tip Glue to fill it in. When it's dry it has a lacquer-type finish – perfect for a lightbulb!
This card is smaller than the typical handmade card. I cut the Crumb Cake cardstock 4" x 8". The Daffodil Delight layer is cut 2 1/2" x 2 3/4" and the Whisper White layer is cut 2 1/4" x 2 1/2".
I masked the words on the stamp that read "You Light Up My Life". I wanted the first few words on the outside (Whisper White cut 1" x 2 1/8") and stamped the remainder of the greeting ("My Life") on the inside of the card.
Are you ready for a laugh? Do you think I remembered to photograph the inside of this card? NOPE! I tore my stamp studio apart looking for it when I remembered that I used it! EGADS! My most recent birthday is catching up with me. ((grin))
I finished off the bottom of the image with a piece of the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape. It's my favorite – because when is black and white not suitable, right?
Oh, and did I mention that this stamp set has an adorable Christmas image in it, too? Take a look in the supplies below.
