What do you do when you have two simple images and have an entire card front to fill? You create a cluster of small focal points using punches or dies!
The Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack has 48 sheets; 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. The colors and patterns are romantic with plenty of floral selections. Stampin’ Up!’s double-sided designer paper boasts a theme pattern on one side and a “neutral” pattern on the other side.
Using the flower images from the Garden Girl stamp set, I stamped them in Basic Black Archival ink and colored them in using Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Lemon Lime Twist, Daffodil Delight and Basic Black markers. The area under the flowers was shaded by using ink from the Lemon Lime Twist ink pad and an Aqua Painter.
The Ribbon of Courage stamp set has numerous encouraging sentiments. The greeting I used here is perfect for a missing you, thinking of you, get well or sympathy. Overlapping the two small images provides a focal point for the card but also uses up space.
And don’t miss that wide washi tape border created using the Pick a Pattern Washi Tape. This collection of washi tapes include 5 different patterns ranging in widths from 1/8″ to 1″.
Adding to the feminine features, I cut a Delicate White Doily in half, scrunched it up a bit and adhered it to the backside of the flower image. For those of you that have been following my blog for some time – can you even believe that I created a card without bling? ((smile))
