If you’re a regular blog follower you’ll recall that I talked about how birthdays are celebrated in a big way in our family. There’s always cake (in one form or another) balloons and gifts. It seems the older the kids get the more they want gift cards and disguising them in a card was the typical way of presenting them. That all changed with the new Mini Pizza Boxes.
I’m in LOVE with these boxes and you can bet that I’ll be ordering lots more before the Holiday Catalog ends on January 2nd. These boxes are food safe, making them perfect to fill with homemade treats such as trail mix, candy or a full size cookie. I’ve even used them to hold a small gift like jewelry and socks which will be perfect for Christmas. Hello stocking stuffers!
I shared a video on a Halloween Mini Pizza Box about a week ago. If you missed that box, be sure to take a peek for another layout and packaging idea – click HERE.
There are lots of ways to decorate these, too. I stamped the balloon image from the Ballon Celebration stamp set directly on the box using Basic Black Archival ink. I then stamped the dog (“Bella & Friends”), cupcake and balloon on scrap Whisper White cardstock, colored them in with markers and cut them out. I’m one of those crazy paper crafters. I love to fussy cut! ((smile))
The tag was created using the Holiday Catalog stamp set “Merry Little Labels”. It coordinates with the new Everyday Label Punch. I created the Melon Mambo layer behind this one by cutting the label in half vertically and mounting a piece on either side of the original tag. I’ve got a quick crafting tip video to show you how. You can view it HERE.
