I’m a lover of all things sparkly and it doesn’t have to be rhinestones or sequins. So it should be no surprise that I’m in love with the foil sheets that are part of the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. As much as I love sparkle and shine I wondered if it would be appropriate on a fall card. When’s the last time you’ve seen a silver pumpkin and copper trim on a Thanksgiving card? I used the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle for today’s card.
The greeting is from the Painted Harvest stamp set. Owning numerous stamp sets provides us with lots of opportunities to mix and match, doesn’t it? I stamped the greeting using VersaMark ink then heat set it with silver embossing powder.
I did the same for the pumpkin which is from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set. This stamp set is offered as a bundle (a 10% savings!) and has coordinating framelits. No fussy cutting necessary! The foliage was heat embossed using copper embossing powder then die cut.
The designer paper boasts gorgeous tones of silver and copper metallic foil. I added a strip of copper foil to create a separation between the designer paper and the white cards base for a stunning and simply greeting. Who said that sparkle can’t work for fall? ((smile))
Bring Color to Life!
Create images that look professionally colored with the new Stampin’ Blends. These alcohol-based markers are double-sided allowing you to choose the brush or fine-point tip. Each color has a light and dark shade and are available individually or as a combo pack. The separate Color Lifter will allow you to reduce ink coverage to create even deeper shading. There are also Ivory and Bronze markers which are perfect for skin tones!
Not sure how to use alcohol markers? No worries. I’ve got video tutorials covering the basics to shading. Click HERE to search my videos.

A beautiful card. Thanks for sharing
Thank you, Sheila. Thanks for coming by today!
Beautiful card. I’m thinking of stamping the pumpkin in pumpkin pie and the greeting in the copper embossing powder. It doesn’t appear dark enough. Could be different in person.
Hi Cathy! Foils are the most difficult thing to photograph. The reflections never give true credit to the card. I can attest that this card is striking in person and plenty dark enough. However, your ideas are just as great so I’d say give it a try! Thanks for coming by to comment. I love the feedback.
