When I say Blue Christmas you probably think of the famous Christmas song by Elvis Presley. Today’s “blue Christmas” includes a trio of trees – blue trees!
I used both Marina Mist and Island Indigo with this two-step stamp. Blue Christmas trees call for shimmery white snow so I added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the branches and the tree bases.
Although I could have stamped the greeting on the white layer, I chose to add a strip of vellum (1/2″ x 5 1/2″). I stamped the greeting in Marina Mist and very quickly sprinkled Clear Embossing Powder over the top and heat set it. The classic ink pads will remain damp for a few seconds allowing you to add the embossing powder.

Although the card didn’t “need” the layer of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper it sure adds extra sparkle – and I couldn’t help myself. ((smile)) You know I love sparkle!
