I love vintage things! Two of my most treasured pieces are my grandmother’s old Singer sewing machine (I’m told it’s the second model ever made) and my mother’s childhood suitcase. They both have a prominent place in our home and exude years of memories. My grandmother sewed all our Barbie clothes on that machine along with several of our prom dresses. Surprisingly, as old as it is, it still works!
My mom’s old suitcase is the vintage hard case. The lining is a bit stained after all these years but it’s all in tact. I love the brass hinges and the satin inside pockets. They just don’t make suitcases like this anymore! The ones Bob the Builder and I have used are nearly destroyed after a few flights.
My passion for vintage things makes it easy for me to create cards around things that bring back memories, like doilies.

Love this pretty card, Lisa. The doily and the narrow embossing folder really add interest to the card. Glad you are getting back to your normal with good energy. Congrats on the Alaska cruise. We did that several years ago and the scenery is breathtaking! Enjoy your day!
