What’s remarkable about the Hold on to Hope Bundle (stamp set and coordinating Cross of Hope Framelits) is that it has possibilities beyond the cross image and dies included. Since the crosses are the obvious choice, I decided to create a card without using it.
I stamped the vine using Old Olive ink and then used my finger (yes, my finger!) to remove the color from the flower areas. It’s a tad messy but it’s so worth it. I created the two toned image in the same manner used in my video HERE.
You’ll also notice that one vine is darker than the others. I opted to keep stamping to use the residual ink left on the stamp to create additional depth. It’s also a great way to get multiple images from one inking.
The ribbon (on the retired list!) is paired with the Gold Mini Sequin Trim. Ohhhh, I’m going to miss this ribbon! It’s one of my all time favorites!
This small butterfly adds the perfect focal point to highlight the flowers and the gold embossed greeting. Framelits for all the images in this stamp set make the cutting process effortless.
The gold embossed text brings continuity to the Gold Mini Sequin Trim. Be sure to use the Embossing Buddy before stamping your greeting. It’s an important process that will eliminate leftover flecks of embossing powder. I’ve got a video that includes a tip on using the Embossing Buddy HERE.
The Elegant Eggplant ink pad, ink refill, cardstock and coordinating accessories are on the retired list as well. Remember that retiring accessories are only available through May 31st or while supplies last. You can view all the retiring products by clicking HERE or on the Last Chance image below. Don’t let May 31st sneak up on you. Grab your favorite retiring products before they’re gone.

I am so glad Lisa that you made the decision to design a card without one of the crosses because I know that there will be crafters who are not religious in any way shape or form and they would be put off by this stamp/die set for that reason. A cross though can look pretty, beautiful in fact without having to be religious. A great TOP TIP about using the ink for 2nd and possibly 3rd generation stamping with a leafy stamp image to gain depth and dimension on a flat surface. I love the colours you have used even though I know it is retiring, I still love to see it being used. Thank you for sharing this with us crafters Lisa. :O)
