As I age I’ve come to enjoy the little things in life more and more. If you’re over the age of 55 you are probably shaking your head in agreement. In addition to enjoying the little things I’m also noticing how quickly time is passing by. Perhaps that’s why I’m noticing the little things! We’re coming up on a big event in our household. Boo is moving out in 3 weeks. She was offered, and accepted, a new position as a project manager over a group of graphic designers. The new job also offered her the additional income to be able to afford her own place. Her new apartment is nearing completion and her move in date is fast approaching. I’m bubbling over with excitement for her and at the same time, I’m noticing all the little things I love about her presence.

We’ve enjoyed several months of shopping for new furniture, essentials and decor. It has been so much fun, especially since it’s her money we’re spending! ((wink)) She’s got amazing taste and we are all excited to see the pieces of our many shopping trips come together. While shopping we noticed lots of small things about color. Gone are the days of having to mix and match furnishings to accessories. There are literally color palettes that do the work for you in just about every home decor store. Every store we shopped in from Target to furniture stores had displays catered to an entire room complete with everything you’d need! That got me thinking about today’s color challenge.

This color combination was a pleasant surprise! I’m confident you’ll see more projects from me using this color combination in the future. And what better products to experiment on then the Bubble Over Bundle!

I die cut three bottles and sponged the edges using Smoky Slate ink. The squiggle lines above the bottles come from the Work of Art stamp set (it’s on the retired list!).

The greeting is from the Layering Love stamp set (also on the retired list!). And those amazing embellishments…yep, those are on the retired list as well.

The used the Brights and Regals Enamel Shapes for the bottles and the Metallic Enamel Shapes (heart) under the greeting. I can’t tell you how much I’ll miss these embellishments. You might have noticed that I used them often.

While I’m going to miss some of my favorite products I’m bubbling over with excitement over the new things coming our way on June 1st. If you’ve got some favorites that are on the retired list, don’t wait to purchase them! Everything except stamp sets are only available through May 31st or while supplies last.
