If you like color and technique than this card will grab your attention. I used the Diagonal Stripes background stamp and created a rainbow of color using an emboss resist technique. And how about that adorable denim pocket?!
Start by embossing the diagonal stripes on Watercolor Paper using the Craft Whisper White ink pad and white embossing powder. While heat setting a large image like this, concentrate on one section at a time so you don’t miss an area. Allow the embossing to cool then use an Aqua Painter to paint on color. I’ve listed the colors I used in the supplies below. Be sure to clean your Aqua Painter between colors.
I used the Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle for the pocket and the greeting. I stamped Dapper Denim ink on Dapper Denim cardstock. The Whisper White banner is cut 5/8″ x 3″. Dapper Denim is one of the retiring In Colors that I’ll certainly miss.
The sun and beam are die cut from the Framelits using Crushed Curry cardstock. I used a small amount of Fine-Tip Glue to adhere the sunbeams to the embossed background. Although the glue dries fairly quickly it allowed me enough time to be a bit fussy about aligning them.
The Pocketful of Sunshine has coordinating Pocket Framelits. Both these products will be in the new catalog but they won’t be sold as a Bundle. Purchase it by May 31st and you’ll save 10% on the Bundle price. Be sure to add the Diagonal Stripes background stamp, too!

Thank you Lisa, I often wonder how to produce a different type of background for my cards so a heat resist is a great idea. Then using an Aqua pen to create a rainbow or striped colours is again brilliant for variety. I have been looking at the Pocket Full of Sunshine stamps/die set but it did not really call out to me. But since I have seen a few of your designs using it Lisa I am now beginning to want it on my Wish List. Thank you or maybe not because my Wish List is getting longer and longer! :O)
