I used a trio of vases from the Varied Vases Bundle to create visual interest. Odd numbers typically work best when creating a focal point and my rule of odd numbers doesn’t stop with just stamped images. I often use an odd number of embellishments like sequins, rhinestones and pearls as well. Even numbers create symmetry while odd numbers make our mind and eye wander.

The Varied Vases Bundle was the featured product for this month’s free Stamps in the Mail (SITM) card kit, and for good reason. This amazing Bundle of products has a large set of photopolymer stamps – 34 to be exact – and a coordinating Vase Builder Punch. Stamps in the Mail is a way for you to stamp with me from home and each month I provide a free card kit centered around a specific stamp set or Bundle. I also include a free tutorial so you can stamp your card kit along with me and a PDF tutorial with pictures, cutting dimensions and supplies so you can recreate the cards well after your kit has been used. My SITM is not a club and there is no monthly commitment. Check out what’s coming up for July by clicking HERE.

The shelf on my card was created by stamping the solid of the two scallop borders from this stamp set. The additional scallop border is an outline image which can be colored in with markers, filled with the solid image or stamped on cardstock or designer paper. Having both the solid and outline coordinated images provides for lots of flexibility.

The Vase Builder Punch offers three different vase sizes and shapes as well as a tulip and leaf. I punched each vase using a different color of cardstock; Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point. The two vases in the front are adhered with Mini Dimensionals.

The single stem for the flower is a separate piece in this set. Think of the different ways you could use this stem such as building your own bouquet or to create decorative borders on your cards.
