This 4″x4″ embossed card featuring A Good Day stamp set is one of my favorite embossing folders. It coordinates well with floral images and also with nature style stamps, like birds.
I cut the Pool Party cardstock 4″ x 8″ and scored it in half and embossed the card front. Smaller cards like this one are becoming quite popular. They’re easier for beginners to create since they have a smaller canvas. With a beautifully embossed card you can add a simple greeting and call it done!
Embossed Card Featuring A Good Day Stamp Set
The birds are from the A Good Day stamp set and their small size makes them perfect for stacking. I used the branch from the Sheltering Tree stamp set in Early Espresso ink and stamped on Thick Whisper White cardstock. Each bird was stamped using Memento ink and colored in using Stampin’ Blends. I’m a huge fan of these alcohol based markers. They provide smooth effortless coloring with professional results. You don’t have to be proficient in coloring either. You can use them just like a marker! The alcohol provides a smooth layer of color without the harsh lines of coloring that a dye based marker leaves behind.
The Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon is perfect for these smaller cards. You might notice the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Write Marker listed in the supplies below. I used it for the beaks and the feet of each bird. The dual tips provide both a marker and fine-tip which provides for precision coloring based on your image.
