In January of this year I shared a video tip on how to use Washi Tape to identify the tips of your Stampin’ Blends marker. If you missed that video you can view it HERE. A short time ago, a viewer by the name of Karen Brown, saw that video and emailed me. She pointed out that both the Stampin’ Write marker and the Stampin’ Blends have imprints on the barrels indicating the difference in the tips. I’ve been a demonstrator for nearly 20 years and I had no idea! I’m assuming you may not have known either so that’s the topic of today’s quick tip video.
Both the Stampin’ Blends markers and the Stampin’ Write markers are have dual ends. One end is a fine tip for either writing or small areas that require color. The other end is a brush tip perfect for coloring. My video will share how to identify your markers with one quick glance. I’ve also included a photo tutorial below if you’d like to save the picture to your favorite paper crafting Pinterest board.
Identifying Your Marker Tips
The thin line, printed on the barrel of the pen, indicates the tip. The thin line indicates the thin (pen or chiseled tip) of the marker. The thick line indicates the marker/thick end of the marker.

My question related to Triangle Fold Card. My cutter not SU and won’t take paper to make cut. Any suggestions? mhoff22546@aol.com
Hi Maryann! I’m sorry for the delay in my reply. I have been away in Alaska on the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip. We just returned this morning. Since you’re not using a Stampin’ Up! trimmer I’m at a loss at providing a resolution. When you say it doesn’t “take the paper”, do you mean it won’t fit in your trimmer? Please email me at lisa@lisasstampstudio.com so I can try and help you further.
