If you’re looking for a variety of images and greetings all in one stamp set then Blended Seasons is for you! My stitched frame floral card will have you convinced that this exclusive stamp set is worthy of adding to your paper crafting supplies. And, beginning tomorrow, August 1st, you’ll have the opportunity to do just that!
The Blended Seasons Stamp Set is an exclusive 10-piece set. The Stitched Season Framelits coordinate beautifully and include stitched frame dies. Purchase the stamps and the dies as a Bundle and save 10%. If you’re wondering how you’ll color these beautiful images, consider adding the 10 new colors of Watercolor Pencils (These pencils may be available in the future).
The entire Color Your Season Suite of products are only available August 1-31 or while supplies last, whichever comes first.
Stitched Frame Floral Card
Creating this stitched frame floral card was easy since the framelits included have three sizes that layer perfectly! I used the two larger framelits, one inside the other, to create the frame. I love the stitching that these framelits create!
On the Whisper White card base, stamp the floral image randomly using Jet Black Staz On ink. Once the images were all stamped, I laid the die cut frame on the card base and used a pencil (I favor the Bic mechanical pencil because the led is soft and the eraser is amazing! – not endorsed) to trace the inside of the frame. The pencil line indicated which flowers needed coloring and which ones didn’t.
I used the Flirty Flamingo watercolor pencil for the flowers and the Garden Green and Granny Apple Green for the stems. These three pencils are only found in the exclusive new assortment offered during August’s Color Your Season promotion. Don’t miss getting them. They’re a steal at only $12.50!
The soft led of these pencils makes them easy to use and you don’t need to press hard. I started at the center of the flowers and worked my way out, leaving the outter edges white. The flower centers use the Daffodil Delight pencil from the original Watercolor Assortment offered in the annual catalog.
The Blender Pen was used to move the color, starting from the inside of the image, moving outward. Not pressing hard with the watercolor pencils assures that the blending is effortless.
I erased any pencil lines that may shown being careful not to erase the watercolored areas. I cut a strip of vellum and stamped the greeting (same stamp set!) using Staz On ink. Allow for drying time, especially on vellum. The vellum was adhered using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue and a wedge of sponge. I created a quick tip video on adhering vellum that has been a game changer! Watch it HERE.
