White Christmas tree branches laden with snow certainly remind me of Christmas! Majestic evergreen boughs piled high with white, fresh fallen snow is an image most fondly connected to some of my favorite Christmas cards. The Winter Woods Bundle (Holiday Catalog page 27) includes a 7-piece photopolymer stamp set and coordinating 11-piece dies that will make gorgeous scenery. And it’s not just for Christmas trees!

This simple and striking card is brought to life by the amazing 3D die that’s part of the In The Woods Framelits (included in the bundle for a 10% overall savings). I die cut the Christmas tree using the 3D die on the Whisper White layer. It’s a two-for-one as you’ll see in today’s video that I’ve included below.

The die’s intricate die cut boughs allow you to lift and curl them for a more realistic look. I recessed the image into the card base which provides an even more dramatic appearance to this Christmas tree.

A pop of color was added using the Red Rhinestones (Annual Catalog page 197) to strategic areas on the Christmas tree. It’s a little bling and color without taking away from the overall 3D effect. These Red Rhinestones have quickly become my favorite. There are 220 3mm size Red Rhinestones in a package and they are affordably priced at $7. You can create all your Christmas cards this season with just one package!

This card substitutes the red rhinestones, on the Christmas Tree card below, for clear rhinestone jewels. I also changed the color of the stamped greeting from Real Red to Basic Gray. Which rhinestones do you prefer? Leave me a comment below.
