Today I’ve got a handy Craft Tip: Clean Sticky Scissors! There’s nothing worse than a pair of sticky scissors! Whether you’re trimming a piece of cardstock that had adhesive on the back or cutting Dimensionals into smaller pieces, I think we can all agree that once your scissors are difficult to open and close that it’s time to clean them.
Today’s tip for your craft scissors video will share important details about the do’s and don’ts of cleaning your scissors. For instance, did you know you shouldn’t use rubbing alcohol? Did you know there’s a citrus-based product that actually will help lubricate the screw/rivet on your scissors? Have you thought of dedicating a pair of ‘sticky scissors’ in your craft room for messy paper crafts jobs? I’ll cover all these tips plus how to soak stubborn sticky scissors, too – all in today’s video. And my cleaning tips will work great for your Paper Piercing Tool, Take Your Pick Tool and Stylus Tools, too.
