I’m sharing two foolproof ways to tear card stock edges to create a perfect worn look. The beauty of this tear tip is in the “how to” and the benefit of Stampin’ Up!’s card stock.
Stampin’ Up! products remain top notch quality and that’s evidenced when you tear the card stock. Most cardstock, when torn, leaves behind a visible white layer of paper underneath because the card stock is not dyed all the way through. The unsightly white edges are often covered with ink by paper crafters – a step that you don’t have to be concerned with when using Stampin’ Up! card stock!
Two Ways to Tear Card Stock for Unique Look
Many paper crafts are leery of purposely creating worn edges with the tear of their card stock. They fear they will tear too much or too little. So what’s the best way to tear it to ensure you have some control? Today’s quick tip video will show you two ways to without wondering.
The first tear tip uses your thumb and index finger in a guide. During the video I’ll share tips on how to accurately place your fingers to provide a boundary for tearing.
The second tear tip uses an Aqua Painter. Place a wet trail on your card stock and tear away. The moist edge of your card stock provides the perfect barrier between what should go and what should stay.
