The glow of Christmas lights are my favorite part of holiday decorations so I created this Christmas Light Holiday Card. My love of lights might be why we have 9 Christmas trees this year! My friends and family dub me the crazy Christmas lady and I gladly accept the title! 🙂
I used the Making Christmas Bright Bundle (stamp set and coordinating punch, page 6 of the Holiday Catalog). This Bundle is also used to create this month’s special edition card making kit. This month’s kit includes more than just cards. I’m also including mini gable boxes (with sparkle!) and gift card holders. You can see pictures of the finished kit, along with more details, near the end of this blog post.

I used non-traditional colors to create this Christmas lights card – and might I add how EASY it was! The Christmas Bulb Builder Punch provides the ease of mixing and matching colors since the pieces can be punched out independently.
Just two different ink pads were needed to create this Christmas lights card. I selected Gray Granite and Rich Razzleberry and added some holiday sparkle by adding the Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins (page 197). These sequins come in a package of 200, 100 each of iridescent and silver. This is definitely one of those accessories you’ll use all year long. They’re perfect on birthday, baby and graduation cards!

Christmas Lights Holiday Card Cutting Dimensions
- Whisper White cardstock base is cut 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Rich Razzleberry cardstock layer is cut 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Rich Razzleberry cardstock strip is cut 1″ x 3 3/4″
- Gray Granite cardstock layer is cut 3 3/4″ x 5″
- I used 6 1/2″ of ribbon
I also shared this second card using this same Making Christmas Bright Bundle. This holiday lights card features silver heat embossed strands which I colored in using the Watercolor Pencils. And there’s no need to watercolor! I simply colored in the lightbulbs using the pencils for a quick and easy card.
