Many of us need some quick, cute, paper craft ideas and I think you’re gonna love today’s Gift Idea: Handmade tag set!

Handmade tags, especially personalized gift tags or custom gift tags, make fabulous gifts for Christmas, especially if you’re in a hurry and need a unique and inexpensive gift.

Bob the Builder recently sprung a Christmas party invitation on me and asked “Do you have something we can bring?”. I didn’t have anything sitting around and I needed something quick. The party was the next day (told you he sprung it on me!).  🙄 Handmade tags came to mind knowing that everyone can use them this time of year.

One sheet of 8.5″ x 11″ piece of cardstock created 8 handmade tags and I used scraps of leftover Christmas designer paper and the Winter Woods stamp set to whip out a gift set. I packaged them in the 3″ x 6″ gusseted cellophane bags and added a simple topper for presentation. Great news – the host loved the gift tags – and I hope you will too. I’ve included a video along with pictures, cutting dimensions and supplies below.

Eight handmade gift tags fit inside the cellophane bag perfectly and provide the perfect presentation for this simple and affordable gift.

The Winter Woods stamp set includes two small images – a pine bough and pine cone which were the perfect size for these handmade tags.

I created a topper for the cellophane bag and stamped greetings on the front and back.
These can easily be personalized gift tags and these would also make great craft fair items.

Cutting Dimensions

• Very Vanilla cardstock for the handmade tags were cut 2″ x 4″
• Festive Farmhouse designer paper was cut 3/4″ x  4″ and trimmed to fit the tag (See the video for a great tip!)
• I used a 15″ piece of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon for the strands of the handmade tags. One 15″ piece will provide enough strands for all 8 handmade tags.
