Easy DIY greeting card for boyfriend or husband are especially helpful when it comes to birthdays, anniversaries and even Valentine’s Day. It seems I’m on a Valentine’s Day kick but the truth is that many of you have significant others and you’d love to create a card for them. And if you’re at all like me, I find masculine cards the most challenging to design.
This easy DIY greeting card is perfect for all those reasons – and for the layout. Change up the stamps, the greeting and copy the layout of this card to create your own DIY greeting card – for any occasion. I’ve included pictures, cutting dimensions and supplies for today’s card below the video. Be sure to scroll down and see them. And, while you’re there, take a peek at my PDF Tutorial Library! I’ve recently added new tutorials from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Easy DIY Greeting Card Details
I used the Geared Up Garage Bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies – saves you 10% when you purchase as a Bundle, too!) to create this easy DIY greeting card. A simple embossed background using your favorite embossing folder, a small strip of designer paper and a greeting.
Add a coordinating embellishment for an added touch of texture and “special” to your card. This adorable metal key comes from the Classic Garage metal Elements. There are 16 pieces; 8 each of keys and wrenches. Perfect for scrapbooking those new drivers, new cars and handyman mechanics!
The beauty of the label die is that it plays double duty and dies cuts two separate pieces at once. Don’t miss seeing it in action in today’s video!
Cutting Dimensions
- Basic Black cardstock base is cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Basic Black cardstock strip is cut 21 /4″ x 4″
- Real Red cardstock layer is cut 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Classic Garage Designer Paper is cut 2″ x 4 1/4″
- The label around the greeting is die cut using the same designer paper pack
- I used 8″ of Basic Black Baker’s Twine to hold the key
