I’ve got a card making: fun idea for inking framelits in today’s quick tip video.
Did you know you can gently ink your framelit dies before die cutting to produce an outline image? I’ll show you how you can easily get added dimension for your detail dies using your classic ink pads. You’ll have so much fun learning a new way to use those Sizzix framelits!

Turn the die so that the cutting edge is facing up. Gently tap ink onto the die, paying close attention to the solid areas of the die. Carefully pick up the die and place it on your cardstock and die cut using the Big Shot.
Don’t miss the tips in the video about how to handle the die once it has been inked. Dye-based in, such as the classic ink pads, dries quickly so you’ll want to have your Big Shot die cutting machine nearby.

I need a B plate for a cricut cuttlebug. Can you tell me where I can find one?
Hi Patsy! Since I own the Sizzix Big Shot I’m not going to be much help in the Cricut arena. I suspect, though, that Amazon has them. Be certain to search by your specific mode so you find the correct size. Hope that helps.
The link to the video on inking framelits does’t work

Hi Marguerite! Thank you for your interest in the Stampin’ Up! catalog. Unfortunately I’m unable to send you a catalog since I’m in the United States and the catalog will reflect U.S. pricing and products. In addition, my contract with the company prohibits me from selling outside the U.S. I hope you’ll continue to allow me to inspire you through my blog! P.S. I was in Cork a few years ago and absolutely loved it!
I loved your thinlit idea! I use to buy stampin up all the time and even took classes. I no longer have a demonstrator. Would love the free catalogue. Thank you, Dar

Hi the catalogs you show are they available in Australia I see them in a lot on card making videos it would be nice to see all the lovely products that are talked about
Hi Dianne! Stampin’ Up! is available in Australia. Since I’m a U.S. demonstrator and bound by U.S. pricing and catalogs I’d love to refer you to an Australian demonstrator by the name of Kylie Bertucci. Kylie is amazingly talented and I know she’d love to provide you with a catalog. I’ve sent you an email with additional information. Thanks for your interest!
Hi Lisa……loved the video! Can you do this with Dies too? I am not sure of the difference between a die and framelits?
Hi Charlene! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. The word “dies” and “framelits” and “thinlits” are interchangable. They are the same product essentially. Stampin’ Up! used their own name branding for dies, hence the difference. This technique works great on all dies. I hope you’ll give it a try!
Thank you for the demo, I am happy to receive all the different techniques I can get. A happy crafter, Julia
Hi Julia! I’m so glad that this was helpful. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
