Craft hacks: how to color staples to match your project is what today’s quick tip video is about – and it includes completed card samples! Be sure to scroll down to see them.

If you haven’t noticed, rustic and industrial touches are everywhere and that trend is carried over into colored staples. It doesn’t matter what type of stapler, or what kind of staples, the result is the same. You can quickly add texture and efficiently attach items like twines, thick ribbons and even layers of cardstock.

This first card uses the Light Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends to color mini staples. These alcohol-based markers dry very quickly leaving you a shiny, metallic and colored finish. Perfect for added texture!

My second card uses the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends to color the staples holding down the ribbon. I simple pleated the ribbon and stapled it in place. Lots faster – and more economical – than using a bunch of Glue Dots or Tear & Tape.

I’ve listed all the supplies I used for both these cards below.
